One of the data consumption methods offered by ForwardKeys Connect is via transfer to your cloud environment. Among other modalities, we allow our users to set up a connection with their AWS S3 bucket in self-service mode.
The configuration only requires you to fill in a form that you can open from the My workspace page > Details of the view by clicking on the Add Connection button, or from the Connector settings page, by clicking on the Add Connector button.
Apart from some standard elements, such as the name of the connector and email addresses that need to be notified about deliveries, to set up a connection with your AWS S3 bucket, you will need to provide some specific information, such as:
- Name of the bucket to which you wish us to deliver your data files, plus - optionally - bucket path, if you want to indicate the specific directory
- Encryption type used by your bucket
Once you provide the information required the platform will generate the policy (or policies, depending on your encryption type). You will need to copy and attach it to your bucket to grant ForwardKeys Connect permission to access your AWS bucket and deliver files. Only once this step is completed you will be able to save your connector.
